Dirler ‘Cuvee Vieilles Vignes’ Alsace Sylvaner 2009

Other White from France - Alsace
Review Date : 07-Sep-2011
Straw-yellow colour with a pale edge, this has a firm, full, four-square nose with somewhat earthy, nutty stonefruit aromas, typical of the variety. Off-dry to taste with some sweetness, this is a good balance for the slightly rustic, earthy and open style. Stonefruits and nuts show with soft acidity providing sufficient cut and freshness. This is good solid fare at 14.0% alc.  Sep 2011
