Di Gresy ‘Camp Gros Martinenga’ Barbaresco DOCG 2007

Nebbiolo from Italy - Piedmont
Review Date : 30-Jun-2012
Made from a selection of fruit from the ‘Martinenga' site, near Rabaja, fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 6 months in French oak barriques, then in 12.5 hl Slavonian oak casks for 24 months. Very dark, deep, ruby-red with garnet hues. This has a very full and voluminous nose with flowing red fruits and spices, growing in intensity and depth, the lifted oak becoming prominent. Medium-full bodied, this is a fulsome wine, with rounded mouthfeel, but ripe, sweetly rich and showing a deep, concentrated core. Though carrying serious extraction, the suppleness enables surprising accessibility, and the wine finishes with delicate nuance. This is a 10-15+ year wine. 18.5-/20 Jun 2012 RRP $180.00
