Devil’s Corner ‘Mt Amos’ Tasmania Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from Australia - Tasmania
Review Date : 30-Dec-2014
Very dark, deep, ruby-red colour, youthful in appearance. The nose is full with fresh, ripe, dark red berry and cherry fruit with some dark plum fruit notes, revealing some oak layering. This is substantial in depth and volume. Medium-full bodied, fulsome and densely packed flavours of ripe dark berry fruits and plums are complexed by nuances of game and spice. Some toasty oak and reductive elements add interest and detail. The fruit lusciousness is balanced by discreet acidity and fine-grained tannins, and the wine has very good length. 86% Freycinet Coast and 14% Tamar Valley, fermented with partial whole bunch to 13.0% alc., the wine aged in 30% new French oak. 18.0+/20 Dec 2014 RRP AU$55.00
