Delta Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Oct-2020
Bright, pale lemon with a green hue, even colour throughout. The nose is vibrantly full, a whiff of herbaceous fresh-cut herbs, gooseberries lead the bouquet, interweave spiced pineapple and juicy lime. Dry to taste, medium-bodied, the palate has an elegantly concentrated heart of tropical fruit, passionfruit, gooseberry and pineapple, flows along a saline mineral drive, lively and thirst-quenching. A fine-textured phenolic line carries white pepper across the palate, entwine with fragrances of white florals, linger to a satisfying finish. This is a beautifully herbaceous, vibrant Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of tropical fruit, spice and floral scents on a saline mineral drive. Match with storm clams and prawn cocktails over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from a single vineyard in Dillons Point. Fermented in stainless steel to 13% alc. 18.5+/20 pts Oct 2020 RRP $20
