Delta Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-May-2015
Bright, pale straw-green colour, light on edge. The nose is fresh and elegant with attractively aromatic, ripe gooseberry and tropical fruit aromas along with blackcurrant, passionfruit and white floral detail. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, a tightly concentrated core of passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours flows with chalky, thirst-quenching minerality, revealing white floral and fresh herbal nuances. Lacy acidity enlivens the fine chalky textures, and the wine flows with good aromatic freshness and tension leading to a long, mouthwatering, minerally finish. This is an elegant and fresh, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with fine chalky, mineral textures. Match with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from select vineyards in Dillons Point, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.9 g/L RS. 17.5/20 May 2015 RRP $22.00
