Delta Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Oct-2012
Brilliant, full and even, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The nose is softly fresh and full with subtle, pungent passionfruit aromas that build in depth and intensity. Some brackish herb notes and tropical fruit nuances emerge in the glass. Dry to taste, passionfruit flavours gently fill the mouth and flow smoothly through the line of the palate. The acidity is discreet and well-balanced and the wine has a seamless mouthfeel, providing instant approachability. Pristine and poised, elegant and detailed nuances of tropical fruits, limes and gooseberries show on ethereal finish. This is an elegant, smooth and accessible Sauvignon Blanc with stylishly restrained pungent passionfruit flavours. Serve with salads, vegetables and Asian-inspired cuisine over the next 2+ years. Fruit from the ‘Thomson' family vineyard, Dillons Point, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L rs. 18.0-/20 Oct 2012 RRP $20.00
