Delta Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 23-Jun-2011
Fruit from Dillons Point, cool fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L rs. Bright, light straw-yellow colour with pale green hues, this has a fresh and lively nose of English gooseberries and minerals, just showing a little bean-like development. Dry, crisp and steely on palate, this is a fine-textured wine with fresh, racy acidity, and good intensity of gooseberry and blackcurranty flavours. There are nuances of green beans and asparagus appearing, but the wine has excellent cut, providing excellent line and a good long finish. Serve with antipasto, shellfish, poultry and creamy cheeses over the next 2-3+ years. 17.5/20 Jun 2011 RRP $19.00
