Delta Hatters Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Oct-2020
Bright, even, pale yellow-gold with a green hue. The bouquet is gently-full and concentrated with well-packed aromas of succulent tropical green mango, lime, cassis, entwine with elderflower, spices and a subtle creaminess, freshen by seaspray. Medium-bodied, the palate features mouth-filling flavours of green mango and cassis lusciously, along with elderflower and minerals, forming a rounded and concentrated core. The fruit is underlined by a very fine-textured phenolic and refreshing, lacy acidity; along with spices; the wine carries to a lingering, fine-textured finished with concentration and depth. This is a well-crafted mouth-filling Sauvignon Blanc with succulent tropical green mango and cassis flavours, complexing details of spices, saline and creamy palate, and fine-textured presence. Fruit selected from a single vineyard in the Dillons Point, fermented to 13% alc, 40% was matured in seasoned French oak barriques, on lees for 4 months. Match with Cantonese dim sum and seafood over the next 5 years. 19/20 pts Oct 2020 RRP $29
