Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-May-2023
Light, ruby-red with a purple hue, lighter on the rim. This has a fresh, fruity, attractive bouquet with raspberry, strawberry and cherry aromas melded with spice and a hint of savoury earth. Light-bodied, aromas of strawberry, raspberry and cherry entwined with cinnamon, clove and subtle earth nuance. The mouthfeel is supple and soft, with tangy balanced acidity that drives a fresh palate. Match with pork chop and glazed ham over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from the Delta vineyard in the Southern Valleys, selected Dijon clones planted in 2022. Cold-soaked for 4 days, fermented warm with selected yeast strains to 12.5% alc. 17+/20 pts (86 pts) May 2023 RRP $20
