Deliverance Waipara Chardonnay 2014

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 04-Apr-2016
Full, golden-yellow colour with some depth. The nose is broad and even with aromas of ripe apricots, yellow stonefruits and lifted tropical fruits, along with soft, musky notes, nutty elements and an underlying thread of butterscotch MLF. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, this has a soft and gentle mouthfeel with broad flavours of ripe apricots and yellow stonefruits harmoniously entwined with nutty and musky layers, tropical fruits and butterscotch at the core. The acidity is integrated, enhancing the rounded palate and soft textures, and the wine flows easily to a sweet, nutty, musky finish. This is a soft, broad apricotty Chardonnay with musky, nutty and butterscotch notes. Serve with roasted pork and veal over the next 2+ years. Fruit from gravel soils, indigenous yeast fermented in seasoned French oak puncheons to 13.0% alc., the wine aged a year on lees with full MLF. 376 cases made. 16.5/20 Apr 2016 RRP $25.00
