Delas Vin de Pays d’Oc Viognier 2012

Viognier from France - Rhone
Review Date : 10-Sep-2014
Bright straw-yellow colour with lemon-gold hues, lighter on rim. The nose is light with uncomplicated floral and apricot fruit varietal Viognier aromas with hints of savoury minerals, expressed with a steely freshness. Dry to taste and light-bodied, floral and apricotty flavours are carried by a light textural thread on a dry palate line. A little ginger emerges. The acidity is soft, adding to the vinous mouthfeel, and the flavours recede to a clean floral finish. This is a light, clean apricot and floral flavoured dry Viognier. Serve with antipasto and seafood over the next 18 months. 100% Viognier from the slopes of the Pont du Gard, fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine bottles without oak contact or MLF. 10,000 cases made. 15.5-/20 Sep 2014 RRP $17.99
