Delas ‘Les Launes’ Crozes-Hermitage 2014

Syrah from France - Rhone
Review Date : 15-Dec-2015
Dark, deep, purple-hued ruby-red colour, lighter on rim, and youthful in appearance. This has a light and finely proportioned nose with fragrant fruit aromas of black and dark red berry fruits, with notes of raspberries, white and black pepper and fresh herbal elements. The aromatics build in concentration with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate is fresh and lively with bright flavours of blackberries entwined with white and black pepper, fresh herbs and subtle spice elements. The fruit has gentle concentration and is supported by fine-grained, light tannin extraction. The wine flows with good energy, enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity and carries to a pepper and herb nuanced finish. This is an elegant, peppery Crozes-Hermitage with herbal lift and a fresh, lively palate. 100% Syrah fermented to 12.5% alc., a small portion aged in oak barrels. 16.5+/20 Dec 2015 RRP $31.99
