de Vine ‘Single Vineyard’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 22-Feb-2014
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. This has a concentrated and intense nose with an amalgam of gooseberry fruit aromas unfolding layers of pungent herbs and savoury saline aromas. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, tightly concentrated flavours of savoury gooseberry fruit, herbs and sour, saline notes are the feature. This has good depth, weight and fruit extract, with a fine phenolic core and line, enlivened by mouthwatering acidity. The flavours are carried by the textures to a gently nuanced gerb and gooseberry finish. This is an elegantly concentrated and fine, textural Sauvignon Blanc with a distinctive savoury, saline gooseberryish flavour. Match with seafood and herb-marinated poultry dishes over the next 2+ years. A single vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc fermented to 13.5% alc. 17.5+/20 Feb 2014 RRP $19.00
