de Vine ‘Reserve’ Waipara Pinot Gris 2014

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 14-Nov-2014
Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour with slight lemony hues. This has an elegant and fine nose with delicate white stonefruit aromas with subtle floral and minerally detail. Dryish to off-dry in taste and light-medium bodied, elegant and refreshing, uncomplicated stonefruit flavours show with palate presence and weight. Lifted floral elements emerge, and the wine grows to show a soft and positive core. Balanced acidity and fresh, lively energy carries the wine which flows smoothly to a gentle, luscious finish. This is a light, subtle and gently sweet Pinot Gris with delicate stonefruit flavours. Serve with most white meat dishes over the next 2 years. Hand-picked fruit from a hillside vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc., the wine undergoing batonnage, a small portion in barrel. 16.5/20 Nov 2014 RRP $16.99
