de Vine Gladstone Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 14-Nov-2014
Even ruby-red colour with some youthful purple hues. The bouquet is soft and light with savoury red berry fruit aromas and nutty oak elements, revealing a minerally, cherryish core, unfolding violet floral nuances in the glass. Medium-full bodied, softly packed flavours of savoury red berry fruit are intermixed with some earthy and nutty elements. The fruit expression is restrained and very mellow. The wine flows gently, following a soft line of tannin and lifted by a little acid laciness, carrying through to a light, finish with plum and earth notes. This is a soft, mellow and savoury Pinot Noir with earthy notes. Serve with risotto, pasta and poultry dishes over the next 2+ years. Gladstone fruit fermented to13.5% alc., the wine aged 10 months in French oak. 15.5-/20 Nov 2014 RRP $19.99
