Dashwood Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Sep-2018
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, very light on the rim. The nose is softly packed with concentrated aromas of pungent passionfruit with tropical fruits, nuances of green stonefruits, fresh herbs and lifted white floral elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a rounded core of ripe passionfruit flavours along with notes of tropical fruits and herbs, all harmoniously interwoven. The flavours are up-front and enlivened by lacy acidity. The mouthfeel is energetic and the wine flows along a very fine line, leading to a zesty, mouthwatering finish. This is a thirst-quenching Sauvignon Blanc with a rounded core of passionfruit, tropical fruits and herbs with a racy mouthfeel. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Awatere and Wairau Valleys, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 4.7 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Sep 2018 RRP $15.99
