Dashwood Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 01-Nov-2016
Bright, light straw-yellow colour, pale on edge. The nose is softly fresh and light in expression, showing gently concentrated aromas of pungent passionfruit, fresh herbs, cut grass and nuances of mouthwatering minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses up-front, moderately concentrated flavours of passionfruit, fresh herbs, cut grass and nettles. The mouthfeel is fine-textured with light phenolic textures providing a dry grip and line, along with mouthwatering, racy acidity. The palate has good linearity and carries to a light-textured, passionfruity and grassy flavours that recede to mineral nuances. This is a moderately concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and cut grass flavours on a fine-textured, dry, thirst-quenching palate. Serve as an aperitif, and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from 60% Awatere Valley and 40% Wairau, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.3 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Nov 2016 RRP $18.00
