Dashwood Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Oct-2014
Brilliant, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The nose is fresh and up-front with intense and lively aromas of pungent passionfruit intermixed with gooseberries and fresh herbs that open out to fill the bouquet. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly presented with bright and lively, juicy fruit flavours of gooseberries and passionfruit that are harmoniously melded together, forming a tight core. The fruit is underlined by racy, crisp acidity and the palate has good linearity with a fine-textured grip that leads to a mouthwatering, gooseberry and mineral-flavoured finish. This is a crisp, racy, lively and juicy Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and gooseberry flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with salads and vegetables and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.7% alc. and 3.7 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Oct 2014 RRP $18.00
