Dashwood Marlborough Pinot Noir 2015

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 01-Nov-2016
Ruby-red colour with purple hues and some depth, lighter on the rim, youthful in appearance. The nose is fresh and bright with uncomplicated aromas of red cherry and berry fruit entwined with soft, dark herb notes and red florals at the core along with a suggestion of reduction. Medium-bodied, the palate features fresh and juicy flavours of dark-red cherry and berry fruit melded with dark herbs and lifted red florals. The mouthfeel is refreshing and enlivened by crisp acidity, and the fruit underlined by light, grainy tannin extraction providing some structure and grip. The fruit sweetness prevails and is carried to a lingering finish of cherries and raspberries. This is a bright, refreshing and juicy Pinot Noir with cherry and herb flavours, crisp acidity and a light grip. Match with antipasto, tapas, poultry and pork over the next 3+ years. Marlborough fruit fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 11 months in French oak barriques. 16.5+/20 Nov 2016 RRP $20.00
