Dashwood Marlborough Pinot Gris 2018

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Sep-2018
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter on the edge. The nose is elegant and softly concentrated with aromas of white stonefruits, unfolding white florals and hints of tropical fruit with a soft minerally layer. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegant and restrained in expression, with subtle notes of white stonefruits, white florals and hints of tropical fruits, forming a slender core and line. Mineral notes add detail. The wine flows positively with soft, lacy acidity lending energy. Floral aromatics blossom as the wine carries to a light, lingering finish. This is a restrained and slender dryish Pinot Gris with stonefruit and floral flavours. Serve with Asian fare over the next 2+ years. Fruit from the Awatere and Wairau Valleys, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 6.53 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Sep 2018 RRP $15.99
