Dashwood Marlborough Pinot Gris 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 01-Nov-2016
Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden tints, lighter on the edge. This has a light nose with a tight core of yellow stonefruits and delicate floral note, unfolding nuances of honeysuckle and a little flinty detail. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the flavours of white and yellow stonefruits, honeysuckle, florals and minerals are light in expression. The wine has a positive mouthfeel and a very fine textured line, with balanced, refreshing acidity providing presence. The wine carries to a light, straightforward, stonefruited finish. This is a light, dry Pinot Gris with straightforward stonefruit flavours with suggestions of honeysuckle and florals. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and poultry over the next 2+ years. Fruit from the Wairau Valley cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 5.3 g/L RS. 16.0+/20 Nov 2016 RRP $19.00
