Dashwood Marlborough Chardonnay 2013

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Apr-2014
Bright, even straw-yellow colour, lighter on edge. The bouquet is fresh and light with lifted white stonefruit and citrus fruit aromas, showing good purity. Delicate flint and nutty notes add some detail. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, clean and light, straightforward citrus fruit and white stonefruit flavours are expressed on palate. The fruit is focussed and enlivened by good acidity. The mouthfeel is refreshing and crisp, and carries through to a zesty finish. This is a clean and fresh, uncomplicated, light Chardonnay. Serve as an aperitif, with antipasto and seafood over the next 2+ years. Marlborough fruit fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS, the wine aged 11 months in French oak, undergoing batonnage. 16.0+/20 Apr 2014 RRP $15.00
