Dalrymple ‘Cottage Block’ Pipers River Tasmania Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from Australia - Tasmania
Review Date : 30-Dec-2014
Light garnet red colour with some depth, a little development showing. The nose is full with soft and harmonious aromas of red berry fruits and red florals, in the cooler spectrum with a little oak toastiness emerging. Medium-bodied, attractively fragrant red berry fruits are the feature on palate, forming an elegantly proportioned core. Some acid liveliness and cut freshens the fruit and the wine flows along a soft-textured line with supple background tannins. Ethereal oak spices unfolds and carries with good length. This is an elegant, oaky wine in the cooler spectrum. Fruit from the ‘Cottage Block’, Pipers River, destemmed and indigenous yeast fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged in 30% new French oak. 17.5+/20 Dec 2014 RRP AU$57.00
