Daisy Hill Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 22-Nov-2011
100% Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the Wairau Valley cool-fermented to 13.3% alc and 3.5 g/L rs. Bright straw-yellow colour with some depth, pale on rim. This has a soft, fresh nose of English gooseberries and chalky minerals, lifted by fresh fermentation esters. Dry to taste, this is elegant in proportion with luscious and juicy gooseberry and fresh herb flavours enlivened by fresh acidity. The palate has a firmness and textural thread through the line, lending a dryness to the gooseberry and tropical nuanced finish. Light, fresh and crisp, this has a fine, firm mouthfeel that will allow matching with tapas, seafood and poultry over the next 18 months to 2 years. 16.0-/20 Nov 2011 RRP $9.99
