Curatolo Arini ‘Coralto’ Sicilia Grillo Bianci IGP 2012

Other White from Italy - Other
Review Date : 24-Jul-2013
100% Grillo fruit from Chirchiaro, western Sicily, from 15 y.o. vines, stainless-steel fermented to 12.5% alc. and 3.43 g/L rs, the wine aged on lees for 2 weeks. Bright straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, light edged. The nose is elegant and fresh with an aromatic melange of exotic florals, musk, herbs and subtle notes of tropical fruits. Dryish to taste, clear and finely presented flavours of yellow fruits, musk and herbs show with good depth. The fruit is fresh and juicy and palate is lively, with balanced acidity driving the linearity. Delicate, soft, phenolic textures underline the palate and carry the flavours to a sustained, dry finish. This is an attractively up-front, aromatic Grillo with juicy musk and herb flavours. Serve with poultry and pork, or with Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 2-3 years. 17.0+/20 Jul 2013 RRP $24.95
