Cruzat ‘Clasico’ Metodo Tradicional Rosé Extra But NV

Sparkling Wine from Argentina
Review Date : 10-Jul-2014
80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay from Perdriel, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, the Pinot Noir given approx. 8 hours skin contact, fermented to 12.5% alc., the wine aged on lees for 12 months. Lot L02-2013CL. Bright, light strawberry pink colour with pale salmon hues on rim. The bubbles are fine and moderately persistent. This has a fresh, voluminous nose of strawberry and redcurrant fruit aromas, along with interwoven bread yeast and nutty elements. The aromatics are fruit-focussed and refreshingly mouthwatering. Dryish to taste, softly fresh and delicate, sweet fruited flavours of redcurrants and strawberry are entwined with delicate yeasty elements. The palate has good acid freshness and very fine phenolic textures balanced by the creamy effervescence. The flavours lead to a mouthwatering, refined, lingering finish. This is a refreshing and delicate red fruited sparkling rosé. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 17.0+/20 Jul 2014 RRP $28.00
