Cruzat ‘Clasico’ Metodo Tradicional Extra But NV

Sparkling Wine from Argentina
Review Date : 10-Jul-2014
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with lemony hues, pale on rim, with a persistent, moderately fine bead. The bouquet is light and fresh with clean and delicate aromas of white and yellow stonefruits that build in depth, revealing subtle bread yeast and nutty notes, and a touch of sulphide reduction. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, light, fresh flavours of stonefuits intermingle with nuts and bread. Soft acidity and light effervescence adds to the freshness on palate. The wine has a fine, dry, textural linearity that carries the flavours to a dry, light finish. This is a fresh, dry and delicate sparkling with a soft, textured mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif over the next 2 years 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from Perdriel, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, fermented to 12.5% alc., the wine aged on lees for 12 months. Lot L02-2013CL. 16.5+/20 Jul 2014 RRP $28.00
