Crush Pad New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 04-Apr-2014
Bright, light golden-hued yellow colour, paler on edge. This has a moderately full and voluminous nose with aromas of gooseberry fruit with some passionfruit lift, along with herbs and a savoury, steely note. Dry and racy on attack, the acidity is searing, refreshing and mouthwatering, but countered by soft phenolic textures that ameliorate the cut. Light flavours of passionfruit and tropical fruit intermingle with a gooseberry core. The flavours follow the light, drying line to a thirst-quenching, slippery finish. This is a racy, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc with restrained fruitiness to match shellfish and goats cheese over the next 12 months. Hawke’s Bay fruit, cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 1.5 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Apr 2014 RRP $14.99
