Crush Pad Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 02-Oct-2016
Watermelon and peach pink colour with some depth, lighter on the rim with slight purple hues. The nose is gently full with fresh aromas of raspberries, cranberries and watermelon along with red floral notes and a little confectionary. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the flavours of strawberries, raspberries, cranberries and watermelon are light in expression, and lifted by floral and confectionary nuances. The mouthfeel is soft and harmonious with a good core that grows in fruit depth, unfolding mouthwatering acidity. Subtle phenolic textures lend dryness and the wine carries to a gently luscious, bright and lively, thirst-quenching finish. This is a light and gently mouthwatering, harmonious dry rosé with strawberry, raspberry and cranberry fruit and some watermelon and confectionary elements. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 100% Merlot from Gimblett Road, cold soaked for 24 hours and fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and dryness, the wine aged in neutral barrels. 465 dozen made. 17.0/20 Oct 2016 RRP $14.00
