Light, golden-hued yellow colour with some depth, paler edged. The nose is fresh with softly full and up-front aromas of yellow stonefruits and apricots, along with subtle nutty notes and underlying mineral nuances. The aromatics grow to form a deep heart. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate shows light and gently luscious fruit flavours of yellow stonefruits and apricots. The fruit is lively and bright in expression. The mouthfeel is flavoursome with an underlying fine, phenolic-textured line and fresh acidity guiding the flow. Flavours of honeysuckle and yellow florals unfold and carry to a light, lingering, nuanced finish. This is a gently rich, yellow stonefruited, dry Pinot Gris with a fine, fresh line and nuanced finish. Match with most white meat dishes over the next 2+ years. 98% Pinot Gris and 2% Gewurztraminer, from a single site in the Moteo Pa district, cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 3 g/L RS. 480 dozen made. 16.5+/20 Oct 2016 RRP $14.00
