Crossroads ‘Milestone Series’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Nov-2017
Bright, even, pale straw-yellow colour, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is soft and elegantly presented with gentle and harmonious aromas of passionfruit entwined with subtle herb, snow pea and cut grass notes. The fruit aromas form a fine, tight core. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has bright, vibrant and thirst-quenchingly refreshing flavours of passionfruit, fresh herbs, cut grass and nettles that form a tight heart. The mouthfeel is zesty and lively, and the wine carries along a fine-textured phenolic line, leading to a crisp, dry, lingering finish of herbs and nettles. This is a bright, refreshing, vibrant Sauvignon Blanc with flavours of passionfruit and cut grass, on a mouthwatering palate with zesty acidity and a fine-textured line. Match with shellfish, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Wairau Valley cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 3.7 g/L RS. Winemaker: Miles Dineen. 17.0+/20 Dec 2017 RRP $19.95
