Cristom ‘Mt Jefferson Cuvee’ Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from USA
Review Date : 01-Aug-2012
Clones 113, 114, 115, 667 and 777, Pommard and Wadensvil, from 12 sites in the Willamette Valley, indigenous yeast fermented with 37% whole bunch to 14.2% alc., the wine aged 12 month in 13% new French oak. Moderately dark ruby-red with some garnet hues, this has an elegant, well-concentrated, penetrating bouquet with red berry fruits and floral perfumes. Medium-bodied to taste, this is more elegant in structure with finely packed flavours of red fruits and raspberries, backed by fine, supple tannins that build to show good extraction and grip to guide the palate. Aromatic lift is the feature. This should develop well over the next 5-7+ years. 5936 cases made. 17.5+/20 Jul 2012 RRP $60.99
