Very full, very dark, deep, black-purple hued red in colour, this has a very concentrated, dense, but softly fine nose with incredible linearity of blackcurrant and blackberry aromas. The fruit is perfectly ripened, and the purity is sensational. The aromatics seem locked up still, and promise much more. Powerful, dense and concentrated on palate, the freshness and flavour of fruit is the highlight. Essence of blackcurrant liqueur with subtle notes of spicy oak drive the palate. But considerable extract and structure back the fruit. The refinement of the tannins is such that the textures are velvety and enable approachability now. The longevity of this wine is ensured by excellent acidity and tension. The fruit richness just lingers, and the oak integration is perfect. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented to 13.8% alc., and aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak barriques.
