Craggy Range ‘Gimblett Gravels Vineyard’ Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 10-Nov-2014
Bright, light salmon-pink colour. This has delicate aromas of redcurrants with subtle nuances of red florals and suggestions of mouthwatering herbal elements. Dry to taste and medium bodied, light and lively redcurrant fruit flavours are lifted by red floral and herb nuances. The palate is crisp and refreshing with lacy acidity and very fine textures in support. The wine follows a soft core and line, showing good energy and poise. The flavours carry through to a thirst-quenching, and delicately lingering finish. This is an elegant, refreshing and soft-textured rosé with delightfully delicate redcurrant flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with canapés over the next 2 years. 82% Merlot and 18% Syrah from the ‘Gimblett Gravels’ vineyard, 50% WBP and fully indigenous yeast fermented in seasoned French oak puncheons to 13.2% alc. and dryness. 17.5/20 Nov 2014 RRP $29.95
