Cottier Gladstone Wairarapa Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 05-May-2011
Bright, light ruby-red in colour this has a firm, dense, bouquet with concentrated dark red berry fruit with hints of gamey interest a little overshadowed somewhat by sulphide reduction. On palate, this shows good richness with firmness and concentration of fruit, a good core with ripeness and sweetness. Oak is well-handled and the reduction is very much in the background. Supple tannins complete the pleasing palate, and this will be a match with poultry and pork dishes over the next 4-6+ years. 14.0% alc. Matured 10 months in French oak. 17.0-/20 May 2011 RRP $25.95
