Cottier Gladstone Wairarapa Pinot Noir 2008

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 05-May-2011
Bright, deepish ruby-red with light purple hues to the colour, this has a fullish, finely-presented bouquet of red berry fruits along with notes of savoury dried herbs and a little flattening nuttiness. On palate, this is soft, mellow and attractively integrated, very smooth textured with gentle tannins and soft acidity. Red berry fruits, complex savoury-sour elements and a touch of cedar add interest. 14.0% alc. Aged 10 months in French oak barrels. Drink over the next 3+ years with subtle Asian cuisine. 16.5-/20 May 2011 RRP $25.95
