Cotterell’s 1843 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Feb-2013
Bright, very pale straw-yellow with slight green hues, pale on rim. The nose has cooler-spectrum gooseberry fruit alongside nettle and fresh herb aromas, revealing mineral nuances, all expressed with clarity. Dry to taste, zesty, racy and upfront gooseberry fruit with nettle notes form an amalgam with fresh herbs and lime flavours. This has good weight and body, and fine grainy textures resulting in a firm and driven palate line. Fresh and crisp acidity provides liveliness and a brisk mouthfeel that leads to a light, cool and herbal nuanced finish. This is a crisp, upfront and cool, gooseberry flavoured Sauvignon Blanc to serve with poultry, pork, salads and vegetables over the next 2+ years. Marlborough fruit fermented to 13.0% alc. and 2.5 g/L rs. 16.5/20 Mar 2013 RRP $30.00
