Coto de Hayas Campo de Borja Reserva 2007

Grenache from Spain
Review Date : 14-Jun-2012
100% Garnacha from vines over 40 y.o., fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 14 months in American oak. Dark ruby-red colour, the bouquet is complex with savoury dark red berry fruits, sour plums, nutty oak and earthy notes. Quite rustic and earthy in flavour, not quite pristine, the earth, leather game and spice flavours tightly bound. The structure is firm, with tannins and acidity prevalent. However layers of flavour and interest.  16.0/20  Jun 2012  RRP $27.90
