Corrine et Jean-Pierre Grossot Chablis 1er ‘Mont de Milieu’ 2009

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Nov-2013
Soft, even, straw-yellow, with light golden hues to the colour. This has a soft, full nose with a rounded amalgam of stonefruits, flinty minerals, oak and butterscotch MLF elements. Very dry, subtly rich white and yellow stonefruit flavours are enriched by toasty oak, mineral textures and buttery MLF notes. A suggestion of unctuousness is present. A little textural grip through the palate line and the beginnings of secondary savouriness are showing. From 0.66 ha, vines 20 y.o. average, 33% ferment finished and aged in oak with batonnage. 17.0/20 Nov 2013 RRP $62.00
