Corrine et Jean-Pierre Grossot Chablis 1er ‘Les Fourneaux’ 2010

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Nov-2013
From 1.75 ha, 25% ferment finished and aged in oak with batonnage. Pale straw-yellow colour with some golden-straw hues. Fresh and bright aromas of flint and minerally infused citrus fruits mark the bouquet. This is pristine and has delicacy. Very dry, pure and racy, this is tightly bound, with subtle complexing sulphide flintiness and nutty elements. The acidity, while bracing, is balanced and harmonious, providing a steely cut. A little phenolic texture emerges and carries the palate to a long dry finish. 17.5-/20 Nov 2013 RRP $58.00
