Coriole ‘Redstone’ ‘S’ McLaren Vale Shiraz 2011

Syrah from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 13-Oct-2013
Very full, near impenetrable black-red colour with youthful purple hues. This has a soft, even and broad bouquet of ripe black and red fruits along with pepper and savoury mint, cedar, spices and dusty earth notes. Medium-bodied, the fruit is light and juicy, showing plum and liquorice flavours with pepper and cedar. Soft, supple tannins and mellow acidity provide a rounded and harmonious mouthfeel, and the flavours are well integrated with the textures. The palate is smooth and flows to a long, lingering, dry finish with liquorice nuances. This is a soft and harmoniously balanced, dry Shiraz with plum, liquorice and earthy flavours. Serve with pizza and barbecued red meats over the next 5 years. Shiraz fruit from the company’s and contracted vineyards in the McLaren Vale fermented to 14.5% alc. 17.0+/20 Oct 2013 RRP $26.99
