Bright, light straw-yellow colour with a suggestion of blush, pale on rim. This has a fresh and accessible, aromatic nose of white florals, pears, and subtle, savoury stonefruit notes, lifted by fermentation esters. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is slender with crisp, lacy acidity enlivening delicate white stonefruit flavours. This has a steely, floral lift, and the palate is clean, refreshing and mouthwatering. The wine flows with good energy and linearity, carrying through to a dry, slightly nutty, crisp finish. This is a dry, crisp, steely and light Pinot Grigio styled wine with lifted aromatics. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and seafood over the next 2 years. M2 clone from the ‘Ellmer’ vineyard, Te Karaka, cool-fermented to 13.0% and <1 g/L RS. 16.0/20 Jan 2016 RRP $20.00
