Coney ‘Piccolo’ Martinborough Pinot Gris 2011

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 26-Jun-2013
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on rim. The nose is softly full, with elegant, lifted aromas of white stonefruits, pears, honeysuckle and flint, expressed with good clarity. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, subtle, accessible flavours of stonefruits and honeysuckle show with a little sweetness and richness. The palate is balanced with soft acidity and fine textures, driven by the alcohol, carrying the flavours to a clean, crisp finish with nuances of exotic florals. This is a light, delicately attractive, off-dry Pinot Gris. Match with antipasto and poultry dishes over the next 3 years. Fruit with a small portion botrytis-affected, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 14.0% alc. and 7.5 g/L rs. 16.5-/20 Jun 2013 RRP $24.00
