Bright, pale cerise-pink with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is finely presented with intense and elegantly concentrated aromas of raspberry and cranberry fruit lifted by red and violet florals, some fresh fermentation esters and confectionary elements. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate is tightly bound and taut with a core of aromatic raspberry and cranberry fruit, with lifted elements including red florals, fermentation esters and fruit pastille confectionary. The mouthfeel is crisp and firm, quite dry and thirst-quenching, and is guided by a very fine phenolic line with ripe acidity providing energy. The wine carries to a mouthwatering dry finish with lifted fruit and esters notes. This is a taut, mouthwatering, dry rosé with raspberry and cranberry fruit lifted with esters and confectionary elements. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir from Gibbston, given overnight skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 14.08% alc. and 3.3 g/L RS, the wine aged 3 months on lees. 17.5-/20 Nov 2016 RRP $26.95
