Clemens Busch ‘Rothenpfad’ Pundericher Marienburg Riesling Trocken GG 2012

Riesling from Germany
Review Date : 03-Mar-2015
Bright, light golden-hued straw-yellow colour. This has a deep and rounded bouquet with a multi-layered amalgam of savoury yellow stonefruits, honey, spices and piquant warm florals. The richness has an aromatic intensity and drive. Dryish to taste, sweetly lifted, ripe yellow floral flavours are complexed by exotic spice and mineral layers. The fruit is rich and plush, but balanced by refined and beautifully refreshing acidity lending poise, vitality and cut. The palate follows a very fine-textured line, with stylish underlying alcohol power, leading to a very long, spicy, exotic, nuanced finish. This is an individual, exotic, spicy dry Riesling with beautiful liveliness. 8-10 years. Red slate. 13.0% alc. 19.0+/20 Feb 2015 RRP $70.80
