Clemens Busch Pundericher Marienburg Riesling Spatlese 2013

Riesling from Germany
Review Date : 03-Mar-2015
Bright, light golden straw-yellow colour. This has a soft and full nose, with layers of ripe quince, tropical fruit and honied notes showing ripe fruit with interwoven botrytis. The aromatics are harmoniously melded, but lifted with piquant florals. Medium-sweet to taste, the palate is rich and plush with well-packed and deep flavours of ripe tropical and citrus fruits, quince and honey, along with secondary toasty complexities. Flinty lees and minerally notes add layers of detail. Fine, refreshing acidity and cut underlines the palate, lending a degree of finesse to the richness, and carries the flavours to complex, layered, exotic finish. This is a rich, complex-detailed medium-sweet Riesling. 8-10+ years. 7.0% alc. 19.0-/20 Feb 2015 RRP $48.20
