Clemens Busch ‘Marienburg’ Pundericher Marienburg Riesling Trocken GG 2012

Riesling from Germany
Review Date : 03-Mar-2015
Bright, light golden straw-yellow colour. The bouquet is stylishly full, solid and deeply concentrated with layers of citrus and stonefruits, unfolding layers of flinty lees and minerals. A steely, refreshing core provides brightness and a sense of finesse. Dry to taste and medium bodied, the palate features a deep, densely concentrated core of yellow stonefruits and citrus fruits melded with honey and flinty, slate-like mineral detail. Fine, grainy phenolics grow in prominence and the wine follows a chalky-textured line. This has a firm linearity, with excellent underlying acidity providing plenty of energy and tension to the drive. This is a deep and densely packed dry Riesling with a textured, minerally mouthfeel. 7-9+ years. Grey slate. 13.0% alc. 18.5+/20 Feb 2015 RRP $62.20
