Clemens Busch ‘Fahrlay’ Pundericher Marienburg Riesling Trocken GG 2012

Riesling from Germany
Review Date : 03-Mar-2015
Bright, lemon-hued straw-yellow colour with a little gold. The nose is soft and broad, quite openly accessible with aromas of ripe yellow florals and fruits with layers of earth, minerals and flint. This has plenty of depth and a rounded density. Dry to taste, this is fulsome, solidly concentrated and deep, with layers of complex yellow stonefruits, minerals and earth flowing across the palate. The acidity is gentle and enhances roundness, breadth and weight. A core of power and alcohol drive provides an easy linearity. This is a full, broad, rounded dry Riesling with underlying power and density. 7-8 years. Blue slate. 13.0% alc. 18.5-/20 Feb 2015 RRP $75.10
