Clearview ‘Coastal’ Hawke’s Bay Gewurztraminer 2016

Gewurztraminer from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 13-Dec-2016
Bright, light golden-yellow colour with some depth, a little lighter on the rim. This has a fresh, softly concentrated nose with good depth of rose-petal florals and Turkish Delight, along with gentle exotic nuances of tropical fruits, honey and musk. The aromatics are harmonious in presentation. Off-dry to taste and medium-full-bodied, the palate has good depth and intensity of rose-petal florals, Turkish Delight, and subtle flavours of tropical fruits along with delicate spice elements. The mouthfeel is bright, fresh and lively, with brisk acidity and the wine flows along a grainy-textured palate line. The fruit grows in sweetness and richness to show some opulence which carries to a concentrated, textural finish. This is an off-dry Gewurztraminer with good depth, richness and intensity of exotic fruits on a fresh, grainy-textured palate. Match with spicy Asian and Middle Eastern fare over the next 3-4 years. Te Awanga and Bay View fruit, WBP and cool-fermented to 14.1% alc. and 6.0 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Dec 2016 RRP $21.00
