Clark Estate Upper Awatere Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Mar-2013
Bright, pale straw yellow colour with slight green hues, pale edged. The bouquet is full with soft gooseberry fruit aromas and a little bean-like development adding interest. The aromatics show some herb and lime lift and are attractively harmonious with good depth. Dry to taste, soft and light gooseberry and green bean flavours flow gently on the palate. The mouthfeel is rounded with fine mellow textures and restrained acidity, adding a little richness to the weight of the palate. Lifted herb and lime notes grow and are carried to a soft, dry finish. This is a full and gentle flowing Sauvignon Blanc beginning to show some secondary development and interest. Serve with salads, vegetables and Mediterranean fare over the next 18 months to 2 years. Different blocks fermented separately, and blended to 12.9% alc. and 4.0 g/L rs. 16.5/20 Mar 2013 RRP $22.00
